At James DeAnda Elementary, we believe in the power of education to transform lives and open doors to a world of opportunity. As a Pre-K through 5th grade global, dual language school in the Houston Independent School District, our mission is rooted in academic excellence, cultural fluency, and strong community partnerships.

Over the past few years, DeAnda has made remarkable strides in student achievement and school improvement.

We have also been recognized as a Gold Ribbon School by Children at Risk—an honor awarded to schools that defy the odds. With a B+ ranking in the Houston Chronicle School Report Card, our success is also reflected in the high standards we uphold for teaching and learning.

In addition, DeAnda has earned Platinum Status for Family and Community Engagement (FACE) for three consecutive years, highlighting our deep commitment to building meaningful partnerships with families and the broader community.
